Protects thousands of Colorado tenants from unjust evictions. Prevents racial and gender discrimination, reduces displacement and homelessness, and creates long-term stability for tenants and landlords.


Ensures tenants can use the Warranty of Habitability Law to address health and safety hazards. Sets repair timeframes, clarifies alternative lodging, and establishes cooling protections in extreme heat.


Gives the PUC authority to revoke towing licenses for violations. Prohibits for-profit towing companies from patrolling residential lots. Requires written authorization for tows. Creates enforcement mechanisms for DAs and the AG.
Requires HOAs to exhaust all options before initiating foreclosure. Limits homeowner liability for attorney's fees. Introduces right of redemption allowing homeowners or nonprofits to purchase at auction price — keeping community wealth in the community.
Companion bill to HB24-1337. Requires covenant-enforcing metro districts to adopt written policies on fines and fees. Prevents metro districts from initiating foreclosures based on unpaid charges.
CEDP's first major legislative achievement. Created Colorado's first consumer protections for people whose vehicles are towed. Established rights around notification, pricing transparency, and vehicle retrieval. This law became the foundation for the $1M Wyatts Towing settlement and subsequent HB24-1051 reforms.
